Welcome to Atlantis Counseling (“my”, “me”, or “I”). By accessing and using my website, and/or engaging in therapy services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use this website or services.

Atlantis Counseling provides mental health services, including therapy and counseling, to individuals, children, and families. This website is intended to provide information about my services and allow for scheduling appointments, consultations, and general inquiries.

2. No Substitute for Professional Medical Advice

The information provided on this website is for informational purposes only and should not be construed as medical or psychological advice. Our website content is not a substitute for professional counseling, diagnosis, or treatment.   • Appointment Scheduling: When scheduling a therapy session through our website or by phone, you agree to provide accurate, truthful, and up-to-date information. You are responsible for attending scheduled appointments or canceling/rescheduling in accordance with our cancellation policy (typically 24 hours in advance).

  • Telehealth Services: If you are using our telehealth services, you agree to ensure that you have the necessary technology (such as a reliable internet connection, microphone, and camera)and reside within the state of Michigan to engage in virtual sessions. You also agree to maintain confidentiality in your environment during remote sessions.

4. Confidentiality and Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. All personal information shared through our website and during therapy sessions is protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy. I follow strict confidentiality guidelines in compliance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and other relevant laws.

Please note that there are some exceptions to confidentiality, such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or if required by law. These exceptions will be discussed with you at the beginning of treatment.

5. Payment and Insurance

  • Fees: Our fees for therapy services are outlined on our website and are subject to change. By scheduling an appointment, you agree to pay for the services rendered in accordance with the current rates.

  • Insurance: If you are using insurance for payment, you are responsible for confirming your coverage with your insurance provider. We accept a variety of insurance plans, but not all insurance policies cover mental health services. Please contact me directly for more information on insurance acceptance and payment options.

  • Payment Methods: We accept payment through all major credit/debit cards. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any other questions concerning payment and billing.

6. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, I require at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a cancellation fee. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a fee equal to the cost of the session.
